My husband and I have only been patients at this practice since December 2015, since moving here recently. My husband had a very bad stroke in September 2015 and was in the Pru for over 3 months. Since his discharge he has been under the care of Dr. Foulkes who has been very good with keeping in contact and support. I have been to see Dr. Chandan twice. I have Carpal Tunnel in both my hands so the first time was to see Dr. about the pain in my wrist which I thought was made worse by helping my husband with washing and dressing. Dr. Chandan suggested an injection which I was willing to try which was done a week later. The pins and needles and no feeling in my fingers have gone but the pain is still there. I have an appointment for Dr. to have a look at my wrist and also to have the injection in my right wrist. I found Dr. Chandan very kind and gentle. I also had an appointment for a routine blood test on the 2nd Feb. 2016 but after waiting 85 minutes to have it done I had to leave as I did not want to get a parking ticket, you are only allowed to stay for 90minutes. The receptionist was very apologetic but I feel if there was a problem with delays patients should have been informed about the delay and then they could decide whether they will wait or not. I do find the staff and doctors very kind and helpful.

Response from The Bromley Common Practice

Thank you for your feedback and I'm so glad you have had such good care from Dr Foulkes and Dr Chandan. I shall pass your comments on. Regarding you blood test I'm so sorry that you were let down. As I'm sure the receptionist explained we have a visiting phlebotomist from Bromley Healthcare, its not a service we run with our own nurses. If our reception team are made aware of delays they do of course pass on the message to patients, but we're not always told. This issue has also been raised with Bromley Healthcare to ensure better communication in future. Thanks for your constructive feedback.

I used the online appointment service to book my initial consultation which worked well. I have heel pain and with the advise of Dr Chandan I had a injection to ease the the discomfort. The injection has considerably eased the pain so it is no longer at the forefront of my mind. I have found the staff all friendly and helpful when I have visited the practice on the few occasions that I have used various services available at the practice.

I think the team at the surgery are very polite and helpful. My only complaint would be the lack of privacy at the reception desk. I find it very impersonal you don't even have the shield if having your back to the gawping waiting patients.

Response from The Bromley Common Practice

Thank you for your feedback. I'm happy to hear that the team is polite and helpful. I understand your views on the reception area, it is very open plan to give a sense of space and light in the waiting room. However we do have a private interview room to the left of reception to use for sensitive conversations. If you wish to use it please just let the receptionist know. Its all set up with a workstation so that they can access information in the same way as they do at the main reception counter.

Everybody very helpful and friendly and professional the doctor explained why this treatment would be the best. He told me it would be painful yesterday but it was not so I did not need to take a painkiller. My knee looks and feels pretty good now. Thank you very much indeed doctor Chandor I would advise anyone with a bursal enlargement to treat it in this manner. Ann E. B. Couto.
